We were fortunate enough to have our humble tinderbox at Cloughjordan House for our first ever wedding event. Our Day 2 Coffee Cleanser rehydrated and re-energised the guests for Dave and Ed’s wedding for a second day of celebratory festivities.

A venue steeped in Irish-history in the hometown of Irish patriot Thomas McDonagh, The house itself has been there for over 800 years, dating back to as early as 1214. It’s covered in a colourful Virginia creeper residual from the historic Hodgins’ Arboretum and nursery gardens that the grounds were once famous for. In 1922, free state soldiers occupied the house and evidence of their target practise can see be seen on an ancient tree outside.

Everything in their world is home-grown or locally sourced. Fresh flowers from their walled gardens are laid in bedrooms and on banquet tables for weddings or events. The seasonal veg is pulled from their patch fresh and the breakfast sausages come from our very own free range pigs.

The house prides itself on seasonal menus, created with only the freshest and most delicious produce, making each dish from breakfast to dinner packed with flavour and flair.

We loved working at the event and learned a lot from their considered approach and delicate touches. Find out more about them on their website.
